My research focuses broadly on Intelligent Socio-Technical Systems.

It combines research from the areas of Semantic Web (ontology engineering, knowledge graphs, linked data, ontology based data integration, knowledge acquisition) and Human Computation and Crowdsourcing (cyber-physical social systems).

Some example intelligent applications I investigated include: exploratory search, question answering, defect detection, decision support systems.

Major application areas are: Industry4.0, tourism, Smart City, Software Engineering.
